Welcome Gavin Joseph Sigona

He's here, he's here! Saturday 12/20/08 at 6:44pm Gavin decided to finally grace us with his presents, weighing in at 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches tall. He is incredibly beautiful and both mommy and he are doing extremely well. It was one of the best days of my life getting to experience the miracle of birth with some of the most amazing people I know. Congratulations to Brandi and Anthony as they enter this next journey in their lives together. I couldn't be any happier for them! I already know that I will be making the trip to Fair Oaks as frequently as I can to spend as much time as possible with little Gavino. This Auntie is truly in love!

Still Waiting...

This past weekend my friend Vicky and I went up to Sacramento area to attend our little baby Logan's First Birthday party. We decided to head up there early and hang with Anthony, Brandi and Lacey for a bit. I was really hoping me being there would send Brandi into labor but NO. Little Gavin is being very stubborn (like his father) and just isn't ready to come out. We had a very nice visit and headed out to Logan's party but I think we all would have been at least a little happier if Gavin tried to make an appearance. So at this point we are still waiting....and waiting....and waiting.....

Slacker

I've been totally slacking on this blog! So much has been going on I haven't been able to keep up. My quick recap is... I surprised Mike with a trip to Vegas for his birthday. He had NO idea what we were doing/where we were going until we got to the airport. We had a fabulous time just wandering around and checking out all the hotels. We saw a show, met Aunti Lex, Uncle Mike, Uncle John and Paul for lunch one of the days and went to Siegfried and Roy's secret garden before we had to head to the airport. The baby dolphin and tigers were too cute for words! It was the first trip we took alone in years and was great to just enjoy each others company.

The next couple weeks after Vegas were filled with engagement/birthday/holiday parties. We hosted the 2nd annual Friendsgiving the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and had a great time. We hit the bars after eating way too much yummy food and reconnected with some old friends from high school. Definitely a tradition worth keeping up.

I got to see my friend Stephanie preform as Tina in Tony and Tina's Wedding that Friday night with a bunch of girlfriends. SUCH a fun show! If you ever get the chance to go...GO!

Then came by 27th birthday which I got celebrate with my amazing parents and Mike. Mike got me a Garmin (GPS) which I've had way too much fun playing with ever since. This past weekend I celebrated with my friends what I like to call my "7th grade party". Almost 30 of us went to Sky High Sports to jump on trampolines and play dodge ball like little kids. I have a slightly injured neck from some self inflicted whiplash but all in all a GREAT time. I truly have the best friends! We went back to the house for some food, drinks, Wii, Rock Band and ping pong to end the night off right. I had the best time and can't wait to come up with another fun idea for next years shindig!

Now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Gavin...I've had about 10 dreams in the past 4 days of Brandi going into labor :) I can't wait to meet my first nephew!!! Until then, I'll try and keep this more updated.

What a Weekend!

Friday night was Halloween and we had a great turn out at our party. We ended up skipping the bar since it was raining and most people didn't want to go anyways. We had around 40 people through out the night and I think everyone had a great time (I sure did!). I just love seeing people's inventive costumes! Here are a few pictures, mostly just of the girls. The guys were down in the garage playing beer pong the entire night so they didn't make it in too many pictures!

After the craziness of Friday night we had Brandi's baby shower on Saturday. It was POURING rain but everyone still managed to make it. She got tons of adorable stuff for little Gavino and hopefully is pretty close to having everything she needs. It was great getting to spend some time with Brandi, Lacey, Jaime, Jen, Isabella and Michaela. I don't get to see them as often as I would like! The baby twins made my day by being such good sports and letting us pass them around the table from person to person. They are seriously too cute for words! All in all, great afternoon!

Finally on Sunday Mike and I went to our friend William's birthday party at one of my favorite spots...www.jumpskyhigh.com. Mark that down because I'm going to try and get as many people as I can to go for my birthday! It's a basketball court sized room of trampolines all linked together. You can literally bounce off the walls! There is also a trampoline dodge ball court and foam pit. It's only $10 for a hour, which is pretty much all my body can take anyways! So much fun!!! We ended the night by hanging out with Larry, Tammy and Liam and having a nice dinner. Thank goodness for the time change because I needed that extra hour of sleep after that weekend :0)

Getting Excited....

Since there is nothing really new to report I thought I would just tell you all how excited I am about this upcoming weekend! Halloween is FINALLY on a Friday so we actually get to full on celebrate it. I can't wait to see all my friend dressed up and having a blast. We are going to hit up a local brewery for a few hours to show off our costumes then head back to the house to keep us away from all the crazies on the road. Lacey is going to head down with newly weds Jen and Travis and I'm super excited for her to meet all my friends. She is going to be a big hit :) Then Saturday is Brandi's baby shower (yay!!!) and we get to spoil her and soon to be new baby Gavin with all our love and attention. Oh, and I get to finally rub that adorable belly of hers, hehe! Saturday is also Vicky's birthday so we'll be doing something low-key for her as well. Another fun filled weekend! I'll be sure to write all about it and post pictures.
HAPPY ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!!

I beilive I can fly!

This past Sunday Mike and I went to Trapeze Arts in Oakland to do a little training before we run off with the circus. Well...maybe not but it's fun to pretend.

Mike's sister Stacy introduced me to the flying trapeze over 2 years ago and we've been dying to go back ever since. Since she HAD to go get pregnant with Olivia (laugh) we had to wait. All she wanted for her birthday this year was to go back to Trapeze Arts and learn a new trick. So that we did. Only Stacy, Vicky, Stacy's friend Michelle and I actually did the trapeze but we had our fan club watching below (Mike's whole family) and taking tons of pictures and video.

The scariest part of the trapeze is climbing up the super tall, narrow ladder unharnessed then having to climb up onto the platform to await your jump. I get butterflies just thinking about it. Once the person in front of you does their jump there is no going back. You stand of the edge of the platform, get harnessed in at the waist, grab onto the bar with one hand while pushing your hips over the edge, grab the bar with your other hand and wait for the "READY....OUUP!". This is when you jump and fly effortlessly through the air, tucking your knees around the bar, flying upside down and then flipping off the bar or being caught by another instructor. It's addicting really. I highly recommend all of you try it sometime, and take me along with you!

Here is a few pictures of our jumps. If you want to check out the videos here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/user/stacyjr1015
You can watch me almost chicken out on my first jump, haha!

Chihuly at the DeYoung

Dale Chihuly is the artist that has done the blown glass on the ceiling of the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas. A few Sundays ago some of the girls and I went to check out his AMAZING exhibit at the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Here are some pictures so you can see what you missed out on, but trust me...they don't even begin to do it justice! If you ever see his exibit coming to a town near you...GO!
