Zoo Lights

We don't have a ton of pictures from our Zoo Lights outing but Mike had some fun playing with the camera so I wanted to at least post some of them. It was super cold when we went, but with our 400 layers of clothes on we survived and we all really enjoyed the experience. Maybe we'll check out Oakland's next year!

Morning visit to Pescadero

A few weekends ago we braved the rain and headed to the coast for brunch/lunch at Duarte's in Pescadero. Thank goodness we did because the rain held off most of the time we were there and we were able to get some beach time in. The ocean was pretty crazy so it scared me a little to let the kids play, but they listened really well to stay far away from the water so it wasn't too bad. No tide pools this visit though! We really need to head out there more often. You know, with all of our down time ;p

Adult Winter Formal Take 2

It's my favorite day of the year!!! Wait, I think I've said that about Friendsgiving and I'm sure other events... so lets just say it's in my top 3 favorite days of the year! Bob and Heather hosted the second annual Project Diana party, which is basically grown up winter formal. Caterer, bar tender, great music, even better friends and no kids allowed = awesome night! It's so rare that we get truly get to get dolled up for a grown up night out these days that we pulled out all the stops. Girls get formal gowns and get our hair blown out and/or makeup done, guys rent tuxes or fancy suites. The entire night is just way too much fun! What a way to kick off the New Year :)
