First Steps

This weekend was a big one!  Kendall has started to take some steps!!  She hasn't decided to take off on her own yet, other than one step between the couch and coffee table, but if we put something she wants on the couch she will do her best to walk to it then back to me :)  As usual, we are awful about remembering to pick up the camera to catch these things on video.  Mike managed to get a somewhat decent one once we did remember on Sunday.  Hooray for our little girl!!

Play Date

Tuesday Kendall had a park play date with Brewer, Alex and Nolan.  I'm kind of glad most parks aren't all sand now because it was much easier to let K crawl around and not have to worry about every stick and rock getting put into her mouth.  The kids had a blast and so did I :)  I really need to utilize my Tuesdays for play dates more often!

All the kiddos crawling through a tunnel
Here come Alex and Nolan!  Nolan turns 1 tomorrow (I think?) and Alex turns 1 on the 31st

 Neat photo collage from Michelle.

 I love this little smirk!!
 Swinging is fun!
I was just sitting there talking to Michelle and Megan (Nolan's Aunt) and Alex just climbed in my lap.  It was so sweet!!
 I love my God Daughter!!
Megan was playing with Alex and Nolan wanted in on it :)

Mom/Cheri's Bowling Birthday

Mother's Day weekend we had a belated birthday celebration for Cheri.  The whole family went bowling for the afternoon then went back to the house to have pizza and salad.  We had so much fun!!  The two little girls did great and hung out in their strollers for most of the time, Olivia was an amazing bowler and loved every minute of it and best of all, Cheri had a really great day.  It was really nice to spend a chunk of time together where no one was stressing about the holiday meal getting on the table :)  We just got to hang out and have fun!

Emily and Kendall being good girls in their strollers.
Em is thinking - "hey, what in her snack trap?"
Olivia bowled the first round withe just bumpers and the second round they gave her this ramp that you put the ball on top of and it helps with the speed down the lane.  She actually did better on her own that with the help!
Bumpers now are awesome!  You just program it in the computer what player you want them for, and they just pop up for that one player then go back down after their turn is over.  Cool right?
 Jim's turn!
 Bowl Cheri Bowl!

Eating is Fun!

 Pasta face!!

We've been trying to have Kendall start using a fork or spoon.  She does good for a while and then likes to shove it down her throat.  Silly girl!
 Forks are fun!!
She does pretty well when we put food on the fork and hand it to her.  I have yet to see her try and "stab" her own food but she is still so young it doesn't really matter.

And here is some after dinner play time with daddy ....

Kendall's new screaming thing.  Luckily she doesn't do it that often and I only let Mike encourage it this one time ;)

2 Mini Bachelorettes for 2 Awesome Ladies

I'm catching up on some posts so there may be a few back to back :)

A few weeks ago our friend Jennie came down from Lincoln so we could celebrate her upcoming wedding.  Since her days off are Monday and Tuesday it was easier for her to come to us and do a party on a week night rather than make her take off work.  Mandy and her mom spent all day decorating and prepping for the party and everything turned out SO great.  Jennie is for sure someone that deserves to be showered and I'm so happy it all worked out.  The wedding is only3 weeks away!

Kendall, Karen and I came early to help Mandy with last minute stuff.  Kendall was fascinated with the balloons!

This past weekend we had a mini bachelorette party for Kendall.  Her and Adam are getting married at the end of June and we decided why the boys were away on Adam's bachelor party we'd have a little fun of our own.  We had dinner and drinks and Jen's house then "hit the town" for some dancing.  "The town" was San Carlos at the Carlos Club where we were basically the only people there all night!  I personally kind of liked it that way though :)  One of the other handful of patrons still managed to buy us all a shot.  It was a lot of fun and staying local was really nice.
