San Diego

San Diego!!!  Can we go back yet?  We had our first and very successful flight with the kids mid-November (yes I'm delayed).  Both kids did amazing in the airport and on the plane.  Kendall was excited to use her new headphones, but was slightly disappointed there was no Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing on Disney Channel when we were up in the air.  She made due ;)  Charlie slept the entire time both directions and didn't seem to care at all about the whole ear popping thing.  Maybe we will be flying more frequently in the future :)

So I'm going to loose some of you here, but Thursday morning we shuttled over to Sea World and honestly had the time of our lives!  I was hesitant to go but I am so so so glad we did.  I'll leave all the politics out of it though.  We had the run of the park since we went on a week day and still didn't have enough time to really see everything.  We almost cancelled our zoo trip the next day to go back!  We decided that it was just more motivation to come back before the end of 2015 (our tickets ended up being season passes good through 12/15).  Thursday night we meet up with Mandy and John for a much needed dinner together.  We got to see their place, give Bailey some love and hit up a crazy delicious place for dinner called the Tap Room.  Friday we headed to the zoo and after exploring every inch of that giant wonderland, we decided we should head back to our hotel for some relaxation and pool time. Sadly the sun was basically set by the time we got down there, but the hot tub was just as nice.  Mandy and John came and met back up with us for dinner.  The kids were so wiped from the past two days we actually were able to spend quite a while at dinner just hanging out without them going crazy.  Saturday we got back together and went to some amazing little brunch spot then for a stroll on the boardwalk before heading back to the hotel for some real pool time before our flight.

The trip flew by and felt way too short but we did have an incredible time.  All the more reason to plan another one soon :)

Ready for our flight!
Flying is serious business!
Sea World touch pools.  Kendall could have spend all day here.
These are the same fish that you can get in your foot bath when doing pedicures now.  So crazy how they "nibble" on you!
Flamingos on Parade!!!
We happened to come to one of the dolphin pools during one of their talks.  When they were done they sent the dolphins around the pool so we could touch them!  SO awesome!  I could have left right then and there and been the happiest person in the world.
Brave little girl petting some sharks
Kiddy rides!
Real men wear their baby :)
Feeding flamingos - which was taken over by the ducks
Turtle time!
One of the areas we had to run through in order to make our tram back to the hotel was the antarctic section.  I wish we would have started there (other than the fact that we would have missed petting dolphins) because there were so many amazing animals - including emperor penguins!  We did stop to watch this guy for a few minutes though. He was chewing on some fish and kept spiting it out and sucking it back in.  Gross, but awesome at the same time.
Zoo time!  We started the day with a bus ride around the park.
Sky buckets!  I love that K is kissing Charlie's hand.
Our little monkey
Goofy boy

Hi Daddy!
*melt*
Terrifying that birds this large use to exist!
Kendall made a friend so we let them run around after each other for a while.
Going up!
POOPED
Finally getting to wear his awesome beach wear from my bosses :)
Enjoying the beautiful beach air
Kendall was a big help holding Charlie while we got settled on the plane.
