Potty Training

We did it! We pulled the trigger over Memorial Day weekend and went full steam ahead on potty training with Charlie.  I knew it wasn't going to go as easily as it did with Kendall - She was barely 2 and had it dialed in after two days of the three day training program.  Even though it was going to be a lot of work, not just on Charlie, and we'd miss out on lots of sunny weekend fun, we just felt it was time.  I stocked the bathroom with books, flash cards and M&M's, armed my alarm for every 20 minutes and gave all Charlie's left over diapers to Kendall to use for her baby dolls.

Day 1 was rough and I wanted to throw in the towel (but I didn't have any left to throw since I had used them all to clean up accidents) but after Charlie's nap the tides turned and he seemed to be getting the hang of it. Day 2 appeared to be going great but once I got him pumped full of fluids we saw more accidents like the beginning of day 1. But, not awful. Day 3 we had only 2 accidents the entire day!  Charlie had zero accidents the entire week at daycare (a few at home) and then... we did a road trip. Enter a big back slide the week following. But great news is he's back on track and we haven't even needed pull-ups at nap or bed!  HOORAY for being Potty Trained!!!  Next up, big boy bed!  Maybe... I'm not quiet ready :)

Note the coffee for mom
I got some adorable naked baby butt pictures but I'll save those for his 18th birthday slide show
Day 3 and sporting his new Blaze undies

Final events of the school year

Clearly I'm very behind. So no time for back story, Just straight captions :)
Showing Grammy and Goompa some of her art on display at the school wide art show.  There are some VERY talented artists at this school, thanks in large part to Roosevelt's incredible art teacher
Kendall pointing to her Penguin
The kinder kids got to go to Happy Hollow as their final field trip of the year.  I was in charge of Kendall and Lola. It was a shame they didn't get along ;p
I can't get enough of the hand holding!!!
Roller coaster ready!
One more ride
After we got back Kendall was a trooper and hung at work with me until after 7pm that night with barely a peep of being "bored"
Instead of a Graduation (thank you teachers!) the kids got to present their animal projects they have been working on followed by a cereal reception and mini fair.  Kendall was a Elephant Expert and did great when it was her turn to present.  I had a blast helping at one of the craft tables with sand art, which ended up being a hit with the kids.  It was a great end to the year!
K's buddy Tyler presenting
And Mitchell
Our Elephant Expert
Cereal galore!
Craft table where I lived so I didn't get pictures of the other fun stuff going on
I decided to make a clown and after there was a fight over it, I took a request for a mermaid. Not my best work but they were happy!

BABIES!!!

Baby boom 2017 is in full effect and I couldn't be any more in heaven!  There are multiple cooking babes I can't wait to meet but Stephanie and Danny welcomed baby Isabelle the day after Easter and Victoria and Jason welcomes Josslyn in late May!  I haven't gotten nearly enough time with either, but wanted to share a few pictures I got from our first meetings :)

Joss one day old and beyond perfect!!!

Kendall adores babies *almost* as much as me

Birthdays - Joe, Declan and Joseph Addition

Joe's birthday and Redwood City's 150th Celebration fell on the same day, which worked out great for us! Mustache Harbor was preforming downtown in the early afternoon so we packed up the kids, some drinks and snacks and partial yacht rock gear (Kendall even wore my Capn' Mike's shirt as a dress)  and headed downtown.  It was a HOT day but that didn't stop our fun!  Thanks for throwing a city wide birthday bash Joe!
Some of the gang getting settled in
Hailey was a lucky girl and got a dance with the birthday man

After the band ended their set, most of us packed up and headed home for kids naps. We actually had another party to attend that evening - Declan's!  Another pump it up party and the kids couldn't be happier about that.  Boy did they sleep good that night after partying all day!
Garret, I'm sorry buddy but these pictures bring me so much joy even though you were terrified
Connor loved it!

We had a little break between birthdays -  well actually there was one other in there for Wyatt and Austin but I managed to take zero pictures that day!  I'm sure Brandi and/or Lacey will post one soonish though :)  So on to Joseph's safari party!  Joseph had tons of fun crafts and snacks and games to go along with his safari theme.  But the cake... amazing as always!  Stephanie and Danny have a good friend that is an AMAZING baker!!  Every event they have an adorable cake but this one was my favorite to date. And oh so yummy!  The kids had a great time, and we loved getting some family time in.  I actually got to see the Ridings' three times in a 30 day period!  Pure happiness!!

 Happy kids on our way
 Gramps love :) :) :)
 I mean, COME ON!
Of course I had to get myself some baby Belle time.
That is until Kendall stole her from me
 Cutie cousins!
 I love these kiddos!
I had to document the rare moment of two sleeping kids in the car!
