Alicia's Bachelorette Party

This past weekend some of the girls and I headed up to Sonoma for Alicia's bachelorette party. 8 of us drove up Saturday morning for some wine tasting and one more met up with us for the rest of the night. We went to four wineries (Chateau St Jean, Kenwood, Imagery and Valley of the Moon) before we decided to head back to the hotel and hang by the pool. After all of us re-got ready to hit the town, we went to dinner at the Swiss Hotel. YUM! We gave Alicia a to-do list for the night and she wasted no time checking them off. We hopped around to a few bars after dinner before heading back to the rooms around 1:00. Lucky for us the pool was 24 hours so we hit the hot tub for a little bit before we went to bed. The next morning we all went out to a nice breakfast before heading back. The weekend was an absolute blast and Alicia has some really fun friends! I can't wait for the wedding!

While I was away playing, Mike stayed home and brewed me a chocolate coconut stout! I can't wait for that one to be ready to drink....so yummy! Sunday night we went to a BBQ at Larry and Tammy's. They always provide such a feast and great time! Thanks guys!

Wet Wednesday

I'm sure you all know but every Wednesday we have dinner with our good friends Larry and Tammy, their two boys (our Godson's) and Pete and Bri, and their two little ones. We take turns cooking the main dish and we all contribute to the rest of the meal. Since it's been nice out, and music in the park is on Wednesdays, we've spent the past few weeks at the park picnicking and letting the little ones run wild.
Pete and Bri closed escrow on their new house just over a month ago and were ready to show off all the work they have done to it so yesterday was the first WW at their house. The yard is amazing and the boys loved every second of running around and playing. I think we'll be spending more time there for our weekly dinners from here on out!

Liam is starting to turn into a boy way too quickly! He was never small, but now he's all thinned out and tall and really starting to look like a little boy instead of a baby. Too fast!!!

Weekend fun

This past Friday I went to the Giants game with Victoria while Mike hung back in Redwood City and hit the up the beer garden with the normal gang. It was fire fighter appreciation night at the game and Victoria and I got an adorable Lou Seal in uniform bobble-head to add to our collections. It was a great game which ended with a great fireworks show, so I was a happy camper all night! OH and next time you go to a game, be sure to order the Irish Nachos at the Pub food stand! Chili, Cheese, Onions & jalapenos all poured over fries for only $7! YUM!
Saturday Mike and I worked on the house ALL day doing more prep work for the new floors (which will hopefully be going in this weekend). We treated ourselves to a nice sushi dinner after all of our hard work then met Lucas at the beer garden to end the night. That place gets far too much business from us!

Sunday we headed up to Napa to meet up with GT, Michelle and Brewer for a live Brewing Network Show at Downtown Joe's. The guys listen to these beer pod casts religiously so we had to see what it was like in person. All the listeners that came brought bottles of their home-brew to share with everyone, which I thought was GREAT! One of the show personalities made a Chocolate Coconut Shout that I just about died over. GT had recently brewed a batch of beer and put half of it in an oak barrel to "age". The show did a side by side comparison of it on the air :) I loved the oaky taste of it! It was a great day and the guys had a blast. We did too, but they were in heaven!

It's been a while since I've had an outing to the Carlos Club. One of my old California Pizza Kitchen co-workers was having her welcome back party there this past Friday so it was the perfect excuse to go back. We ran into a ton of people that night! Tons of fun as usual!

4th of July 2010

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday so I was super excited when we got invited up to Tahoe for the weekend! I've spent many 4th's in Tahoe and have missed it. Sadly Mike had to work and couldn't join me/us :( Good news is they ended up taking 2nd overall in the race so the trip was worth it for him.

There were 11 of us in our friend Marty's cabin. We spent most of the weekend in the cabin hanging out and playing games, but hit the beach on Sunday. It was such a gorgeous weekend!! The guys dressed up the entire weekend as Uncle Sam's, which was hilarious. They got cheers all the way down the beach! We were outside of Tahoe City so we didn't have any fireworks shows over head. We did head back down to the beach at night though and ended up seeing the very far away shows all around the lake. We had a blast all weekend long with great friends, food and entertainment. Thank you Marty!!
