Kirkland Themed, We All Feel Broke Because We Just Paid Our Taxes, Party

Our friends have the best parties!  The Van Zant's hosted a little get together the same day as Katie and Evan's engagement party.  Luckily one ended at the same time the other started :)  It was the weekend after taxes so Bob had the idea to through a Costco Kirkland brand theme party.  You know, generic brands since we just gave the government all our money?  Pretty funny theme, but super awesome party.  I'm all for Kirkland burgers and snacks, but even more so the Kirkland Margaritas!  I managed to get zero pictures of adults, and really didn't even get pictures of kids - Thank you Jen and Heather for sending these to me!  It kicked off one of the many, too fun for works, weekends we've been having.

Let's go for a ride Char!
Sorry Hailey, Kendall isn't the best driver
So strong already ;)
Dinner for 2... just need candles
It wouldn't be a night at the Van Zant's without our kids wanting to take a bath!

Easter... for some of us

Easter was an exciting day filled with egg hunts, candy, family and high fevers.  Yup, poor Kendall caught the crazy bug that has been going around that is pretty much nothing else but a crazy high fever.  The kids woke up and went directly to the backyard to hunt for eggs, then back inside to see what was in their baskets from the Easter Bunny.  Out of nowhere Kendall went from happy and bouncing around to curled in a ball, pale as a ghost.  Poor thing was over 104!  We broke out the Motrin and got Charlie as far away from her as possible.  We don't need any ER repeats!  It's amazing how quickly kids recoup once Motrin kicks in but we knew she had to miss the family activities that day.  Charlie and Mike headed to the Rohrbach's for brunch and then we swapped and Charlie and I went to the Sigona's.  We both had a great day despite the missing other half of our family.  And even though Kendall was up and down the entire day (and for days after) we still managed to have some fun at home too.

Man I love those baby blues!
 Egg hunt!
 What could it be?
Moments later Kendall was down and out on the couch
Awesome big cousin Olivia can't get enough of Charlie!
 So beautiful!
Mean while, K and I played and watched new movies from the Easter Bunny at home - Kendall's first eye shadow!
After a bath and a blow try, temporarily feeling good
Uncle Anthony helping Charlie on his egg hunt at Nonnie and Nonno's
These kids have gotten too big!
 Go Charlie go!
I'm beyond in love with this shirt from the Ridings!

Before going back to over 104 and miserable :(

Wente Winery, Date Night & Mt. Carmel Festival

Not too much can top this past weekend!  It started with an adult only group trip to Wente Winery in Livermore. Karen and Jon are members and we have wanted to join them there for years now!  It was a little bit of a chilly day, but thankfully the VIP fire-pits were all ready to be fired up for us.  After a round of tastings we moved on to numerous bottles of delicious wine and good eats.  The guys played some bocce while us girls got to sit back, relax and drink more wine of course!  Next up Jen, Joe, Mike and I headed to San Francisco for adult only over night date nights (separately - we just drove together).  We owe our indescribably amazing night to the Van Zant's, who majorly hooked us up at the Saint Regis!  The whole experience was to die for.  In the morning we took our time getting ready, had another delicious meal and walked around the City a teeny bit before heading home to pick up the kiddos.  Once we were back to reality we headed to the Mount Carmel Spring Festival for some much needed family time then back home to end the evening just hanging out and unwinding.  I'm still smiling from it all :)

 Heavenly firepit
Never enough food for this group!
 Cheers!

All dressed up for our fancy dinner

 Let's do this already!

It was way past nap time and Charlie passed out in my baby carrier.  For the first time ever, he transferred from the carrier to his carseat and back into the house without a stir!  Always a good sign when his mouth is wide open ;)
