Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Another reason why I love Redwood City... televised Olympic Opening Ceremonies on the big screen in the square!  After the normally scheduled outdoor concert on Friday night we just stayed put and watched a few hours of the ceremonies with some good company.  The Givens' found a Olympic drinking game so we had some fun with that and even got the people around us to join in.  When it hit 10pm we figured we should probably get the little one home to bed :)  Such a fun night!

Beautiful night!
You'd think we are still in college ;)

I'm sure Cary is going to love that I posted this picture considering I made her take a bite of her pizza haha!  That's Cary's sister Ashley next to her.

1 year check up

Yesterday we had Kendall's 1 year check up and shots.  She is such a ham and had everyone in the office smiling.  I don't think I've ever heard a baby say hi to so many people before!  She is in perfect health and the dr is really happy with her development... even the lack of teeth!  It's funny because most kids tend to drop percentile in weight as they start to crawl and walk but ours keeps climbing (which is a good thing!).  She now weighs 21.2 pounds and was measured at 29.5 inches.  I am convinced that she is longer than that though because she was measured a little weird.  Oh well :)  Just to prove how little percentiles matter (even though we all seem to be obsessed with them) here is the range Kendall has been since birth.

Birth - 38% in weight, 83% in length
1 month - 64% in weight, 56% in length
4 months - 6% in weight, 72% in length
6 months - 3% in weight, 58% in length
10 months - 23% in weight, 46% in length
13 months - 40% in weight, 47% in length

As long as your baby is happy and healthy who cares what their weight is? :)

Rohrbach Sibling Camping Trip

Back to back family vacations!  This past weekend we headed the short distance to Gilroy to Coyote Reservoir for some Rohrbach sibling fun.  It was our first camping trip with Kendall and it couldn't have gone better.  It was incredible hot (105 on Saturday) but it cooled of just enough to be comfortable at night and never got too cold.  I was in heaven because we spend all day Saturday out on Stacy and Cody's boat.  I love being out on the water!  Lucas, Cary, Dave, Joe and Michelle even came out for the day on Lucas' boat.  The best part of the weekend was just getting to spend time with  my in-laws and watching the girls toddle around and play together.  So much fun!!
