Back Tracking to Week 13

How far along? 13 Weeks
Size of the Baby:  tangerine
Maternity clothes?  I’ve been jerry rigging my normal pants with a rubber band due to being really uncomfortable with them buttoned, and had one pair of a friends maternity pants that fit,  but I gave in and ordered a few pairs and am already loving life in stretchy waist jeans!
Have you started to show yet: In my opinion, yes.  I woke up yesterday with a pronounced belly that was very clear in most of my regular shirts I tried on.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Getting to be much better with less bathroom trips
Best moment this week: Not really this week but we got a surprise ultrasound at our last appointment and was able to see our little one again!  Our Dr. thought it would be too soon to hear the heartbeat externally (this was just over 11 weeks) so she just decided to do another ultrasound.  It was amazing to see how much peanut #2 has grown already and Mike was blown away when he saw it flailing its arms around in there.
Have you told family and friends:  Yup!  I gave my mom the ok to tell her friends after our last appointment and I’m sure I’ll give in and post these on my blog/facebook soon.
Miss Anything?   Spicy Tuna Rolls.  Sushi lunch with the boss isn’t the same without them.
Movement: Still random flutters when I sit down at the end of the night.  After seeing how much peanut was moving, and my dr. confirming that most 2nd time pregnancies can feel the movement way sooner, I’m a believer now!
Symptoms: My nausea is slowing – more like 50% of the time now.  I’m still tired but I haven’t felt that “I’m going to pass out walking” feeling as much.  Dizziness has begun if I get up too quickly.
Food cravings: Not really.  Power of suggestion is a wonderful thing though (those damn food commercials!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still the smoke smell, amongst other random things. I’m afraid I won’t be able to eat smoked meat for a while
Gender prediction: Nope
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Emotions: content
Nursery:  I’ve got everything ready to order!  Making myself wait a few more weeks but I think I may tackle that room of junk very soon.
Looking forward to: My belly to truly pop so I can stop feeling like I just look “fat”.  (yes I know how vein I sound). I ready to rock the bump!

My babies holding pictures of our newest baby!
Peanut #2 at just over 11 weeks - See it waiving to you?
A bit alien like at this point, but so cool how much you can see!
12 weeks
I have an app that allows you to take pictures of yourself every day (which I'm lucky if I do twice a week) and it puts it into a video for you - like a flip book of watching your belly grow!  At some point I'll have to remember to have Mike snap a picture of me though.
 13 weeks
 14 weeks

Back Tracking to Week 10

How far along? 10 Weeks
Size of the Baby:  Kumquat/Prune
Maternity clothes? I put on my first pair of maternity pants yesterday.  Yikes!
Have you started to show yet: No but really uncomfortable in normal pants
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Still waking up a few times a night to pee - but napping like a pro!
Best moment this week: Going through the mass quantities of maternity clothes given to/back to me and actually getting excited to wear them.  Yay whole new wardrobe!
Have you told family and friends:  I’m being way less secretive this time so I’m slowly telling more and more people every week.
Miss Anything?   Same as a few weeks ago… Having Energy, feeling something other than nausea.
Movement: I swear I feel flutters every so often, but I also know that is most likely all in my head since it’s so early on.
Symptoms: Still crazy nauseous, tired and starting to have some round ligament pain when I get up too quickly or sneeze
Food cravings: Milk.  And one day I woke up dying for a dill pickle – not a kosher dill or zesty dill.  Just a plain old dill pickle.  Cliché yes, but I was a pickle lover long before being pregnant.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Right now the smell of smoke.  It was so windy last night that our fire in the fireplace turned into a smoke bomb and our entire house reeks of smoke. Flash backs to the balcony fire we had when I was pregnant with Kendall...
Gender prediction: Nope
Labor Signs: Nada
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Emotions: Drained at the moment
Nursery:  I’ve slowly started to clear out some of the junk that has been accumulating in there.  Nothing major yet though.
Looking forward to: Feeling like myself again – hopefully soon!

Back tracking to week 7

How far along? 7 Weeks
Size of the Baby:  Blueberry
Maternity clothes? Nope but I did go buy a few pairs of pants in a size larger due to the pushing on my stomach being uncomfortable
Have you started to show yet: In my head I feel huge, but no
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Every chance I can get.  I still have numerous bathroom breaks but I seem to be falling back asleep quicker.
Best moment this week: Getting to see our peanut (not sure if I’m ready to give it the peanut name officially since that was Kendall’s name) and hear its heartbeat!  We didn’t get to hear Kendall’s heartbeat until around 15 weeks so this was super exciting.  Thank you new machines!
Have you told family and friends:  The family knows and most of the close friends
Miss Anything? Having Energy, feeling something other than nausea.
Movement: Nada
Symptoms: Nauseous, nauseous Oh yea!  Some more nausea.  And crazy tired.
Food cravings: I wish anything sounded good at this point

Anything making you queasy or sick: Being awake
Gender prediction: Not a clue
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Emotions: Is Nauseous an emotion?
Nursery:  I’m still going to wait until I hit the true “safe” mark to dive in, but doing other house changes in the meantime
Looking forward to: Hearing that wonderful heartbeat again next month but most importantly, getting over morning sickness!

Little peanut with the heart beat :)

Out of the Pregnant Closet! Back tracking to week 4.

Well as most of you already know, I'm pregnant!  Hooray!  We are super excited to be expanding our family come the end of May 2014.  It is unbelievable to me how much sooner I have been feeling everything this time around, including just knowing I was pregnant when I was only 3 weeks.  Of course I took a test to be safe but between being crazy tired, sick and needing to go to the bathroom every 2 minutes there was no doubt in my mind I was pregnant.  I took the test before I went to work on a Friday and even though I got a very faint line (this was just over 3 weeks) there was a line!  I ran out on my lunch break to find a "big sister" shirt for Kendall to wear when Mike got home from work.  What is funny is I put the shirt on her in the car after I picked her up from daycare and our neighbor came over to say hello as we pulled up.  She instantly noticed the shirt!  She thought it was pretty great that she was the first person to find out haha!  When Mike got home from work it was hard to hide my gigantic smile and act normal.  It took him a few minutes but he noticed Kendall's big sister shirt and the look on his face was priceless.  We then proceeded to use the shirt to tell my parents and Mike's parents - which both sets took a little while to notice :)

I decided to keep a questionnaire this time around instead of trying to come up with things to write about.  I'll post the few I have written already then post in real time.  I am currently 14+ weeks so lets back up 10 :)

How far along? 4 Weeks
Size of the Baby:  Sesame Seed
Maternity clothes? Nope but I have a feeling I will need them much sooner this time around.
Have you started to show yet: No but I already feel like I have a little pouch
Stretch marks? Nope – here’s hoping I’m as lucky with baby #2!
Sleep: Not very well.  Between trips to the bathroom and some pretty unbearable hip muscle pain every time I move when lying down, I’m not getting much real sleep.

Best moment this week: Telling a few friends and family the great news
Have you told family and friends: Some.  I’m not going to hide it as long as I did with Kendall but we’re not screaming it from the roof tops… yet.
Miss Anything? A good night’s sleep.

Movement: Nope but I have been having phantom kicks!  So weird!
Symptoms: Headaches, nauseous, needing to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes, lots of cramping and “stretching”…  I’m having a hard time believing I’m only a month in at this point!  I’m feeling everything much sooner than I did the first time!
Food cravings: Nope

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the smell of the dumpster and gross wet towel water smell in the back lot of my office.  But then again, that always makes me a little queasy…  I do not miss that smell from working at CPK.
Gender prediction: Nope and we’re going to make you all nuts again and not find out this time either
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Emotions: Excited!
Nursery:  I think I’m the only 4 week pregnant lady that is already nesting.  I have a million ideas already but since it's so soon I've been re-vamping Kendall's room instead.
Looking forward to: Telling more friends and family, getting Kendall excited to be a big sister, my first doctor’s appointment, decorating a new nursery… everything!
week 3 test and week 4 test!  From faint line to BAM! dark line in just a week!
Kendall in her Awesome big Sister shirt :)

Welcome to Winter craziness!

We had a few weeks of "slow" weekends but now we are officially entering Winter craziness!  This past weekend we had 2 birthday parties on Friday, a bridal shower on Saturday (and some much needed Brandi and the kids time!) and a surprise baby shower and catch up dinner with friends on Sunday.  I only managed to break out my camera for the baby shower but my mom sent me one picture from Nicole's Bridal shower so at least I have that.  I guess this weekend was just preparing us for the Holiday madness that is upon us...

Brandi, Grandma, Me and Heather at Nicole's Bridal Shower

Robin and Ryan are expecting in early January and since they both have pretty large families she had a limited friend invite list to her baby shower.  Mandy had the great idea of throwing them a small surprise shower so we could still spoil her a little :)  Mandy tricked them into thinking they were going to go out to brunch and when they arrived our little group was there with lots of food, decorations and gifts.  They were totally surprised and it was a great afternoon of catching up and talking about baby Blair.

All gathering in the room for the big surprise

Quick trip to Rocklin

Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed to Vicky & Matt's house for a short weekend trip.  We haven't been up there since Vicky moved in so it was well pasted due!  Kendall was so excited to see Tia Vicky and Matt that she didn't leave them alone the entire weekend.  We went to lunch at the Yard House, walked around the mall for a while to burn off some food, hung back at the house while the guys ran some errands and eventually headed back out for a super yummy Mexican dinner.  It was a perfect mellow weekend with great friends.  Vicky made us breakfast the next morning before Mike dropped me off in Napa for adult Kendall's baby shower :)  Kendall woke up this morning asking for Tia and Matt and wasn't too happy when it would be at least a few weeks before we saw them again.  Maybe we'll get some facetime in soon to make her happy.
Tia and K checking out the pretty fountain
 Bestie dog friends!
Back at the fountain at night to see it all lite up and go off to music (it's like a mini Bellagio fountain).  Daddy was having Kendall direct the water like Mickey in Fantasia :)

Baby Hailey Love

Just some cute pics of Kendall loving on baby Hailey :)
