Annual Memorial Park Camping Trip

One of the reasons we love going to Memorial Park is how close it is so at the end of the trip yyou just zip home, unpack, start laundry and have an entire day left. Well, since moving it's not as close anymore but that will never stop us from making sure we are always invited on this trip. We adore these people so much and hope to never lose touch despite the new distance between us.

We added on another night this year since two nights, when you don't get there until after dark on night one, is way too short. With the kids being older we got to let them have even more freedom riding around on their bikes and exploring the river, which made them super happy. And we actually got lots of adult time and relaxation in. We played games, went for walks, played in the river, saw an out door movie and just had a ton of fun.  We are so lucky to have met these amazing families and be able to partake in this fun yearly trip.

We found a friend on our walk
We had a sun glasses mishap but super Marty came to the rescue!
Someone started a little water shoot so the guys decided to continue the work and add to the fun. The kids had a blast going down the shoot on the inner tubes over and over again
No more marshmallows = tears
Big boy cruising! We gave Charlie the freedom to ride to the bathroom and back by himself until we realized the yyoungest of the kids, Wes who is 3, was tagging along with him. Don't worry Mom, Charlie's watching me. Oops
Sleepy heads! By some miracle, most of the kids all slept until 8am+ all three nights!?
I can not get enough of this kid!!
Row, Sham, Bo!
Beach Chess!
End of the trip! Although our kids look sweet, Conner steels the show in this photo!
