The day after Thanksgiving we headed up 50 to Pollock Pines to go tree hunting with my brothers family, Grama-Shell and the Cindy/Andy and family. None of us expect it to have snowed as much as it had over Thanksgiving AND the fact that it was still snowing when we got up there. After driving further and further up the mountain, and losing Cindy and Andy due to them not having 4-wheel drive, we finally threw in the towel. The trees were under too much snow and it would have taken an hour to dig any of them out to see if they were even worth cutting down! The kids, and dogs, got to have some play time in the fresh powder before we turned around and headed home to get ready for Friendsgiving. Still a super fun morning even though we left without trees. Don't worry, my brother and Mike went back up a few days later and got some gems for us :)
