Santa Barbara

This past weekend Vicky, Victoria and I headed down to Santa Barbara for a little get away/early birthday trip for Victoria. Mike was away racing so it actually worked out perfectly. We stopped in SLO to visit Heather on Friday night and went to one of my favorite bars downtown - Spikes. Mike has really turned me into a beer lover and Spikes has 50+ kinds to choose from! Love it! Sadly Heather had to work in the morning so we weren't able to spend too much time together.
After getting our required Pita Pit fix, and dropping one off to Heather at work, we headed down to Santa Barbara. The weather could not have been more perfect and our hotel was adorable. We had a second story room that over looked a Koi pond with tons of turtles hanging in and around it. We spend most of the first day at the pool relaxing then headed downtown for dinner at the best Italian restaurant I've been to in a long time - Palazzio's. SO GOOD!! And their half orders of pasta were enough to fed us for about 4 meals. We hit the bars after dinner and had a great time.
Sunday morning we headed to State Street and did some shopping and lunch at Sharkeez (I had to get my giant bloody mary!) then hit the beach. Again, amazing weather! We decided to head back to the hotel and finish the day out at the pool. After taking our time showering and relaxing in the room we finally went to dinner. By the time we ate is was after 11 and after attempting to go to one bar we decided to call it quits and head back to the room. Good thing because we all passed out in minutes!
Monday we headed home after one last hour at the pool. Mike and I met up at home then went to Larry and Tammy's for a BBQ to celebrate Memorial Day. Great end to the great weekend :)

PS - Just over a week until Lacey and Dan's wedding!!! Yay!!!!
