When we were on our road trip Kendall really started to rock on her knees and showed plenty of signs that crawling was in her near future. Here is some of her progression over the past few weeks.
Last day of vacation - 2/27 Getting on her knees easily but falling flat pretty shortly after.
3/6 - Army-ish crawling. Although this video she didn't move much. She had gotten then knees to lurching forward part, then gripping the carpet and pulling herself forward as hard as she could. I'm so happy she got past this quickly because she would get so frustrated not being able to get to us fast enough for her liking.
3/12 - Mike picked up K from daycare and sent me this video when he got home. Apparently during the day she learned to truly crawl. Pretty uncoordinated and funny looking though :)
Between Monday and Friday this week she went from slow crawling to getting where ever she wanted fast, learned out to sit up on her own and began to really pull herself up on everything and anything - including Hanna! She even started to do a little cruising on the furniture. The only thing she hasn't quite figured out yet is crawling on our hardwood when she has long pants on. She kind of slips all over the place. It reminds me of the "hot lava" game we use to play as kids because the second she gets to the edge of the carpet she either stops or goes a tiny bit on the hardwood and frantically trys to pull herself back onto the carpet. It's pretty cute :)
3/17 - Won't sit still! I finally got her to stay for a second so I could back up and get her crawling.
Some crawling to pull herself up on the coffee table. She seriously has to use her mouth to help her stand up! I crack up every time!
Alex and Kendall - super crawlers!! Alex has been crawling for a month or so now so she's a pro and I think she's been teaching her friend some tricks at daycare :)
