Another year of Salsafest Competition in the books! Since this was our 3rd year competing we were WAY more organized, relaxed and on the ball. Set up and cooking was a breeze so we got to take our time and relax instead of the usual scramble to get our 10 gallons of salsa ready by the noon start time. This year there were 17 competitors, which is crazy! Last year there were 9! We had our usual army of amazing supportive friends and family to help out and support us. We loved seeing everyone come by even if it was only for a few minutes :) We took home best booth for the 2nd time (yay Capt'n Mike's!) but sadly didn't win for our salsa. We have so much fun doing this every year we honestly aren't too heart broken about it, especially since it's getting to be such a large event. Thanks again for all of your support! Until next year...
I'd be happy not to cilantro again for a long time after that weekend.
The crows nest was my favorite new addition! The sail was pretty awesome too though.
Our first Capt'n wanna be
Repeat customer from last year! He came specifically looking for our cut out
