Memorial Park Camping Weekend

We got home from our So. Cal vacation on Saturday and got a small taste of normalcy before we packed up for a weekend camping trip in La Honda on Friday. Thanks to our fearless leader, Melinda, this is the second year we did a Memorial Park camping trip and we can't wait to continue on this tradition.  I really wish we could do more camping, and hopefully in the near future we will, but time seems to go too quickly and summer weekends book up way too fast.  The kids and adults have a complete blast and nothing beats getting some good old fashioned fresh air! We are hoping next year to extend our getaway for another night since Friday night to Sunday morning goes by way too quickly (especially for the amount of stuff we pack).

Mike and I took care of breakfast on Saturday with a dutch oven mountain man breakfast casserole. It took longer than we anticipated (our fault for not preheating it) but MAN was it good once it was done!!
