April Shelter In Place

April. I can barely remember! Every day was still groundhogs day but things slowly began to feel more "normal". Although, Kendall did have some really down days of missing her friends/cousins and cancelling vacations and sports and life.  You know those things you said you would never do as parents? Well one of those for us was the over use of screen time. Or really, screen time at all outside of a little tv or family movie. And we did a really good job of it for the most part. Poor Kendall even fell behind on her at home math program because it needed to be done on the ipad and we never gave it to her. Oops. But yea. That completely went out the window by April. One of our old phones is now Kendall's phone so she can facetime her friends and now, facebook messenger. Plus she is music obsessed so we gave her access to her own (parental controlled) Spotify account.  Charlie has become an ipad junky and discovered Ryan's World, and other ridiculous YouTube child/family star "shows". Oy. But we are all in survival mode and I'm sure we aren't the only one's breaking their personal rules. Outside of that, not a lot happened. But I did manage to take a lot of pictures.
The best part of April was the fruit stands on every corner. Best Strawberry's EVER!!
More masks! Now with kids sizes!
Kendall finally lost another tooth!
But of course had her "shark tooth" behind it so not much of a hole.
Fancy Charlie
Girls night art class zoom
I picked up a new-to-me treadmill! Running was still an amazing way for me to burn stress and get some solo time, but my shins were destroyed and with the heat looming I knew I needed a back up plan.
Charlie started to kick his new, old, nap habit but became clung to my side.
We discovered some fun friends inside our phones
More sibling slumber parties
LOTS of family movie nights (and days)
Nonno was staying busy back in Redwood City and sent us this great picture of him making his Aunt's Ravi's
Sad we couldn't go pick up our wine club, but it was like Christmas when they got delievered!
Kiki Create creations
Tickles!
We had a backyard camp out zoom with our Redwood City School Friends
New slippers from a neighbor
Kendall went through her box of hand-me-downs and found some gems! Side note - these are from a teenager who is very tiny, and Kendall is very tall. It's SO weird to see her in such grownup clothes/sizes!
School by the pool!
Shiner
Rocking her Mickey ears for the Disney Family Singalong
Finally starting weekly zoom classes for school.
Kendall and I watched the "Some Good News" Prom and she was stoked to take pictures with the Jonas Brothers and Billie Eilish
He still fits in Daddy's coat - he thought it made him look like a detective
More art

water ballon fights
Girl after my own heart
Charlie wanted his bed flipped again so he could have his fort back underneath
The weather was consistently hotter so we spent more time in the pool and had some outside meals
BEST dance moves EVER!!!
Neighborhood scavenger hunt
Kendall and I had a trip booked to New York for spring break that obviously got cancelled. We were both heartbroken so decided to have a mommy/daughter staycation complete with baking, homemade face masks, manicures, movies and a slumber party in our guest room.
Mike made endless pizza dough
More child labor
Science taste test experiments
I adore these freckles!!
More experiments
Why are spring pictures so weird every year? The poses!?
