Well, not the way we wanted to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary, but it was still pretty great. We honestly didn't have anything planned leading up to it, even though I had hoped we could have swung a getaway somewhere last minute. Our actual anniversary fell on a Thursday so we decided to save our real celebration for the weekend. But we did manage to cook a yummy greek meatball meal together that night. Also, Mike MADE ME a wooden ring. It's pretty darn incredible and it was extra special since I had dropped my rings off at a jeweler right before SIP started and was feeling very naked without them. We don't typically exchange gifts at all ever and this was for sure my type of gift! When Saturday came we gave the kids some screens and we headed to the back yard for our own little at home getaway. A heated pool, perfect weather, plentiful drinks and food... it was perfect. We granted the kids access to our little oasis after lunch and had a fun family day, topped off with some GIANT steaks and a movie. Not too shabby for being "stuck" at home!
And like a Flintstone sized steak!
